Can I listen to police using a cb radio the same way I can using a police scanner? - cb radio colonel picture

Basically, I want to know if a radio band is the same as a police scanner. I know that Channel 9 is the "emergency" channel, but the conversation is one of the police again?

Not the same, but some representatives of the CB are used to communicate with each other w / out the dispatchers, supervisors, the police do not listen loop. You have seen for some time to continue that listening to the police. The last time I actually saw it before the police had used mobile computing systems. If you want to scan police frequencies, go to Radio Shack, whether it is legal already doing in your area.
