Salt kills germinating seedlings by removing the water from their cells (plasmolysis exomosis). Therefore, as a rule, there is a negative correlation between the concentration of NaCl (a low initial value *) and the percentage of germination of seeds.
* The salts are naturally in soil and at very low concentrations, generally no significant effect on the germination of seeds.
